Charb. Burnishing clay is a paste that needs to be mixed w/twice its volume of a lukewarm solution of skin size. After preparing the substrate, apply several coats of that mixture. When dry, remove excess dust and apply gold leaf. After burnishing, clay becomes visible through the fine leaves of gold. |
