CHLORGON…….....……..........…..8 oz This is a blend of chemicals forming a compound that not only neutralizes chlorine but also converts it into a water-soluble residue. Some of the other well known anti-chlors have shown a remarkable ability to neutralize chlorine, but have left a chemical residue (i.e. Sodium Thiosulfate) in the paper art that was impossible to wash out without the use of other added chemicals. This fact has been well documented in photographic chemistry, which is many years older than the chemistry of bleaching paper art. The formula and its usage are detailed in our “HANDBOOK OF PAPER ART CONSERVATION”.

GELATIN…………............……...….8 oz Eastlake’s photo grade #44P. 8 tsp. added to 1 pint of cold distilled water allows the gelatin to mix smoothly without lumping. It is warmed and used at a temperature of 120°F to coat the paper art on both sides. This will insure the preservation of the paper and greatly aid in its resistance to atmospheric pollutants. See “HANDBOOK OF PAPER ART CONSERVATION” (page 5) for detailed instructions.
